Amritsari Dal Recipe

Ingredients for Amritsari Dal
1 Cup, Urad dal
1/4 Cup Chana Dal
2 Tsp Ginger-garlic paste
1 Tsp Turmeric powde
Salt as per taste
1 Piece Cinnamon
Ghee
1 Tsp Cumin seeds
Onion finely chopped
Green Chili chopped
Tomato chopped
Chilli powder
Coriander powder
Cumin powder
Garam Masala
Mango (Amchoor) powder
Chopped Coriander leaves
How to make Amritsari dal
To make Amritsari dal, first wash the urad dal and chana dal, then put four cups of water in a cooker with garlic ginger paste and turmeric, salt and give it a gas pass. Then cook it until it takes four to five whistle. After this, turn off the gas. Remove the pressure from the cooker.
Mash the lentils thoroughly. Then after heating ghee in the pan, add cumin and cinnamon to it. After a few seconds, add ginger-garlic paste to it. Then add the onion. Keep stirring until it turns golden.
Sacrifice the gas to a second pan then again this mix add green pepper and tomato. After this, add red chili powder, Dania powder, mango powder, cumin powder and garam masala and mix.
After adding the spices, add 4 cups of water to it. Fry the spices well on low heat. After this, put the dal in the pan and mix it. Mix the lentils in a low flame for 5 to 7 minutes, then turn off the gas. After this, decorate the coriander with coriander leaves.
