The way to make instant jalebi is very easy. This jalebi can be made crisp and juicy with the cleanliness of the house.
Instant Jalebi means that you can make it in a few minutes without waiting all night or hours.
The most difficult task in making jalebi is to make it spherical while frying. You might not be able to give the right shape at first. This is quite normal. Don't worry, after making a couple of times your hands will be clean and will be able to give a better shape.
Give any shape you want to Jalebi. People also like to write their names.
Ingredients for Jalebi
1 Cup (1 cup = 240 ml) Flour ( All-Purpose Flour )
1 Tbsp Besan ( Gram Flour )
1/2 Tbsp cornflour (Cornflour)
1 Tsp dry yeast (Dry Yeast)
1/4 Cup (1 cup = 240 ml) yogurt (Un-sweetened Yogurt)
2 Cups (1 cup = 240 ml) sugar
1-1 / 4 Cup (1 cup = 240 ml liter) water
Suitable oil (for frying - its quantity depends on the size of the pan)
1 Tbsp oil (for making jalebi paste)
Method to Make Jalebi
Jalebi paste
Start the process of making jalebi with ¼ cup (1 cup = 240 ml) of lightly added water. Add yeast to it. Stir well and leave for 1 minute to dissolve.Take a large bowl. Add the flour, gram flour, curd, cornflour and yeast mixture. Mix well and try not to leave any lumps in it.
We have to make a thick mixture. Add a small amount of water (1/4 cup (1 cup = 240 ml)) and mix. It should be so thick that we can easily pour it out in a bottle like a tomato sauce.
When you feel that the mixture is going to be thick, then add 1 tbsp oil in it and keep stirring.
The mixture is ready. We have used a total of ½ cup (1 cup = 240 ml) of water to make it. We have added ¼ cup (1 cup = 240 ml) water and ¼ cup (1 cup = 240 ml) mixed with yeast paste.
Let us keep this mixture aside for 10 minutes. Now during this, we will make sugar syrup.
Sugar Syrup
Take a pan and add sugar and 1.25 cups (1 cup = 240 ml) of water.If you want some fragrance in sugar syrup, then you can add cardamom powder to it. We are adding ½ teaspoon of cardamom powder to it.
Cook it on high heat for 1 minute then turn it on medium heat.
The sugar will dissolve in 1 minute and it has to cook until a wire is formed in it. It will take 15 minutes.
Sugar solution is being made. Meanwhile, we prepare the pan for frying Jalebi.
Once the syrup is formed, turn the stove on low flame.
Frying Jalebi
Turn your hand slowly and add the jalebi mixture to the hot oil.At first, the circular jalebi will be made with little difficulty. But you will learn it with experience.
Rotate the hand in such a way that every new circle is joined to the previous circle.
Let it fry until it turns golden in color. You also have to flip it to fry the other way. It will take about 3 minutes to fully fry 1 jalebi.
Now take out the jalebi when it turns golden brown and pour directly into the sugar solution.
