Green Chilli Pickle with Red Mustard seeds is a popular Indian pickle. It is mostly made and eaten during the winter season. Some people also call it to pickle with green Chilli mustard juice. This pickle is succulent and sour due to lemon juice.
We are using long green Chillies. You should also use similar Chillies for better taste. Chilli can be very fast. It is not necessary to have any type of Chilli to make this pickle.
Ingredients for Green Chilli Pickle
Green Chilli thin and long Chilli
Grind1/2Tbsp Red mustard seeds powder
1 Tsp White salt
2 Tbsp Lemon juice
500 ml Water
Method to Make Green Chilli Pickle
Take a pan and add 1/2 liter water to it. Turn on the stove on high heat and let it boil. It will take 3 minutes.
After 3 minutes, add green Chillies. Allow them to boil for 2 minutes. Keep the stove on high heat.
After 2 minutes, turn off the stove. Discard the water.
Cut each Chilli in the middle and divide it into two parts. There is no need to separate the whole. Do not cut its head.
Take a glass bottle to add the pickle. You can take any old used glass vial. Clean it well.
You can also take a plastic bottle if you want. We believe that glass will be better and will be easily available in your kitchen.
Add green Chilli, salt, powdered mustard, and lemon juice.
Now close the vial and stir well.
The process of making pickles is now complete.
Let it remain like this for 3 days now and then it will become edible.
In India, it can be cooked in the sun for 2 days. By doing this it cooks quickly even in winter.
Shake the pickle vessel once daily for 3 days.
You can serve this pickle with rice and roti.
