Potato Chips
How can we make potato chips without drying them in two hours and that too like dried potato chips !!
Who does not like potato chips (crackers), be it children or old or you? All people like this very much. There is no time to eat chips, with tea, in snacks, while watching movies… ..etc. Even if your stomach is full, you cannot feel it. You may also be wondering who is the big deal; But if you eat your handmade chips then it becomes a big thing.
By the way, how many things we make from potato… potato vegetable, potato fry, potato bhujia, french fry, chips… etc. So today we are going to make the chips. There are many ways to make potato chips.
We fry it after cutting it and drying it in the sun, then the chips are very good and can be made without drying. So in this post I am going to tell you how to make potato chips without drying them in sunlight and that too crispy.
Ingredients for Potato Chips
Boiled-mashed potato - 1/2 cup
Cornflour/potato starch/tapioca starch - 1/2 cup
Chili powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Tasting salt - 1/4 tsp (optional)
warm water - 1/4 cup
Method to make Potato Chips
With a slicer, cut the potatoes thin, making sure that all slices are equal.
Soak the potato slices in water for 5 - 10 minutes.
Afer that Wash the potatos slices nicely until the water runs out clean. This will remove all the excess starch from the surface.
Place a paper napkin on a tray. Drain potatoes palce on paper napkin and pat dry.
Heat oli in a frying pan add the potatoes and deep fry in batches and fry until they truns slightly golden and crisp.
Remove the chips from oil and drain off excess oil.
Seasonig with salt and pepper.
Now our Potato Chips are ready to serve and enjoy chips at any time.
