Gajar Ka Halwa



Gajar Ka Halwa (Carrot Halwa) is an excellent Indian dessert made with carrots, milk, ghee, and sugar. It is usually not easy to make delicious sweets at home, but gajar halwa is a dessert that is not only easy to make and quick to make but is also liked by everyone from children to old people. In this recipe, flower fat milk is used to make the halwa creamy and cardamom powder is added for the best taste. If you want to make sweets for guests or for children, by following this method you can easily make gajar ka halwa at home.



Ingredients for Gajar Ka Halwa


Fresh Grated Carrot - 500 Gram
Milk - ¼ Cup
Ghee - ½ Tablespoon
Fresh Cream - 3 Tablespoon
Sugar - 60 Gram or ¼ Cup
Almond - For Garnishing
Cashew Nut - For Garnishing


Method for  Gajar Ka Halwa


Wash and dry the carrots. Chopped the edges of the carrot and peel the skin lightly. Grate all the carrots using a grater and keep aside.

Microwave clarified butter (ghee) in a microwave-safe bowl at 100% power for 30 seconds. Add grated carrots. Microwave at 100% power for about 5 minutes. Remove from the microwave and mix well.

Add milk, sugar, and cream (malai) in grated carrots and microwave at 100% power for 10 mins. Stir in between and then microwave for 10 minutes at 60% power.

Sprinkle the chopped almond (badam), cashew nuts (Kaju) as shown in the video. Covered the bowl and microwave at 100% power for 1 minute. Allow standing for 5 minutes.

Over Delicious Gajar (Carrot) Halwa is ready. Serve it hot.
