Amla Rice Recipe

Ingredients for Amla Rice Recipe
1 to 1/2 cup - Soak basmati rice
3 cups + 1/4 cup - water
salt to taste
2 - Amla, grated
1 1/2 tons - sesame oil
1 Tsp - mustard seeds
1/2 Tsp - cumin seeds
1/4 Tsp - Asafoetida
1 Tsp - split skinless black gram or urad dal
1 Tsp - Bengal gram or chana dal
10-12 - curry leaves
A pinch - Kasuri methi powder
2-3 - Dried red chillies
1/4 cup - Cashew nuts
1/2 Tsp - turmeric powder
2 tons - Coriander leaves
Method to make Amla Rice
In a pressure pan add soaked rice, water and a pinch of salt. Mix it well. Then cook for 10-12 minutes.
In a pan, add oil, mustard, cumin, asafoetida, urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, a pinch of kasuri fenugreek, red chilli, cashew nuts. After this, add grounded gooseberry too.
After giving it a good mixture, then cook it for a minute after that. After this, add turmeric, red chili powder and salt as per taste.
Add 1/4 cup of water. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Add rice. Add coriander leaves for garnishing.
